Fly fishing can mean different things to different people, To some it is casting dry flies to rising cutthroat or rainbow trout in a crystal clear mountain stream. Others may think of it as floating big dry stonefly patterns along the bank while floating in a drift boat hoping a very large brown trout will slide up and sip it. Salt water species such as bonefish, snook, sailfish or tarpon will make up the image in the minds of some. Other fish like bass or pike or carp may be the quarry for fly anglers in some areas. Whatever version of The Fly Fishing Life you live, you will share some common passions with the rest of us. It may fly casting, rod building, fly tying, angling art, conservation or supporting organizations like Trout Unlimited or The Federation of Fly Fishers. What ever your level of involvement in the sport of fly fishing, we should all be working to preserve the waters we have now and to go back and enhance some of the habitat that may have been damaged in the past. We hoe your naxt season is your very best.
